Holdright – Glenford Hazen, 82, of Caledonia, Queens County, passed away peacefully at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on September 12th, 2022.
Born in Maitland Bridge, Annapolis County, Glen was the son of the late Hazen and Lillian Holdright.
Glen enjoyed selling the odd car or tractor, listening to Bluegrass music, talking about the old times, catching bass, and making people laugh with his witty sense of humor.
In his younger years he worked on the family farm, various sales positions, and drove trucks. He began working at the Nova Scotia Liquor Commission in Caledonia retiring as manager in 1995. Most of all, since his retirement, Glen loved to spend time wintering in warm places like Spain and Florida with his family and friends.
Glen is survived by his wife of 59 years, Freda (Fancy), son Danny (Diane Nault), brother Louis (Joan Silver), sisters Jocelyn (Larry Smith) and Ila (Cormac Baxter).
Besides his parents, Glen was predeceased by an infant son, brothers Seyward and Roger (Linda Howard).
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Celebration of Life will take place between 2–4 P.M at the family home, 1769 Hibernia Road, Caledonia on Sunday, September 18th, 2022.
