Obituary
On Sunday, May 8, 2022 in his 90th year, Hendrik (Henk) Van Olst was called Home to his Lord and Saviour. Beloved husband of Joke (nee Kassies) for over 67 years. Loving father of Henry and Mary Van Olst; Jeff & Michelle Van Olst (Joshua, Nathan, Jenna), Karen & Nate Wright (Jessica, Seth, Kaitlyn, Luke), Michelle & Mark Stolk (Jacob, David, Michael, Amber), Lisa & Darren Overeem (Leah, Rebecca, Emma, Logan). Richard and Irene Van Olst; Laurie & Pete Zandstra (Jeremy, Katie, Becca, Alayah), Eric and Elyssa Van Olst (Brianna, Brooklyn, Noah, Lily), Heather & Dan Borgdorff (Owen, Ella, Megan), Elizabeth & Daniel Hamstra (Hannah, Braden, Judah, Emma). Darlene and Wendell Jerome; Krista & Greg Van Wingerden (Lincoln, Levi, Rhett, Jonas), Jon & Shayla Van Stempvoort (Roman, Aleena), Emily Van Stempvoort. Andrew and Dawn Van Olst; Andrew Peter & Angela (Peter, Caralynne, Gillian, †Johanna, Miles, Trenton), Suzanne & James Pearce (Vanessa, Jacob, Abram, Wyatt), Alyssa. Roland and Maureen Van Olst; Jacob, Anna, Mikala. Cherished Opa of 17 grandchildren and 46 great grandchildren.
Survived by beloved siblings Rein Fiechter, John & Ann Kassies, Gert Kassies, and Corrie Zandstra.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at REHOBOTH UNITED REFORMED CHURCH, 77 Glancaster Road, Ancaster, where a Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. If you are unable to attend the service you are welcome to join via live-stream, the link can be found on the funeral home website under Events. Private Burial will take place at Carluke Cemetery before the service.
