HAROLD REESE
“All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women are merely players.
They have their entrances and their exits. One man in his time plays many parts.” — Shakespeare
Harold played many meaningful parts in the lives of his family and friends. He was a cherished son, brother, husband, son-in-law, father, father-in-law, Opa and friend. Born to Charlotte and Willi Reese on April 16, 1935 in Kiel, Germany, he immigrated to Canada to seek his destiny. He found his love Lorraine, realized his dream of having a family, started a business Reese Dry Cleaning and later OHM Construction. He pursued his love for horses and horse sport— Nordmark Trakehners. Harold will be forever missed by his wife Lorraine, their daughters Jennifer (Scott – Reese/Brett), Kelly and granddaughter Evelyn. He will also be greatly missed by his brother Gunter (Karen) of Duesseldorf and his sister Hannelore of Bonn, as well as close friend Dejan (Anastasia) of Frankfurt whom he regarded as family. Many memories were made throughout the years — meeting with coffee friends at Smitty’s and the Knotty Pine; playing tennis and golf at Westmount, working on the farm, going to horse shows, shopping adventures, travelling to Kiel and making and sharing memories with his Family.
Harold’s favourite saying was—“Have Faith”.
Harold passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 6, 2022. Internment had taken place at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo, Ontario.
