The family of Greta (Gree-ta) Evelyn Gould would like to announce her peaceful passing on November 21, 2022 at the age of 60 at the Oilfields General Hospital in Black Diamond, Alberta.
Greta will be greatly missed and forever held in the hearts of many friends and family. Beloved mother of Denny (Ashley) and grandmother to Grace, Carson, Archer, and baby girl on the way. Sisters Betty (Richard), Anne (Kevin), Aline (Vincent), and brothers Dave (Alice), Dale, Paul (Liz), and Roy. Auntie to Trevor, Karry, Jessica, Kathy, Ashley, Amanda, Adam, Christopher, Nicolas, Justin, Alex, and Shalyna. Greta was predeceased by her mother Gabrielle and father Maurice. In the famous words of Greta herself, we all love you BIG!
Greta was born in Moncton, NB on September 20, 1962, the youngest of 8 children. Greta loved to sing and act and was active in all aspects of her school in theatre, cheerleading, art, music, and student council. Greta was the valedictorian of her high school & college class and later became a successful law clerk with several large firms in Ontario and Alberta. Some of her fondest memories were teaching legal students at Sheridan College and leading aerobics classes.
A special thank you goes out to the medical team at Oilfields General Hospital and Dr. Branch for exceptional care and compassion as well as the team at Rockyview General Hospital.
A small celebration of life service and reception will be held on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 1:00 pm at the Snodgrass Funeral Home in Okotoks, AB. If you are unable to make it, a recording will be available online afterwards.
