Obituary for
Goretta Mary Pierce
It is with great sadness that the family of Goretta Mary Pierce announces her passing at the Health Sciences Center at St. John’s on Sunday, November 13, 2022, age 63 years of Harbour Breton.
Goretta leaves to mourn her loving family: husband, Jim, of 44 years married; daughter, Keisha (Dylan) at St. John’s; son, Brandon (Joanne) at Harbour Breton; grandchildren, Ashton and Elizabeth, whom she dearly loved; special pets, Miley and grand puppy, Zoey; mother, Martha Hickey at Harbour Breton; sister, Anita (Kevin Mullins) at Harbour Breton; brothers, Thomas Hickey Jr. (Giselle), Mike (Peggy), all at Harbour Breton and Paul Hickey at Grand Falls-Windsor; as well as a large circle of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.
Goretta was predeceased by her father, Thomas Hickey Sr.; parents in law, Eugene and Violet Pierce; niece, June Pardy; brother in law, Chesley Pardy; and other family members.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, November 16, and Thursday, November 17 at Spencer’s Funeral Home at Harbour Breton from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm both days.
Funeral Service will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 2:00 pm from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church at Harbour Breton with Father Patrick Ousji officiating. Interment will follow at the Roman Catholic Cemetery, Harbour Breton.
