Gloria Anne Harvie
Wood – age 82, of Church Street, Chipman Corner, passed away
peacefully on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at home. Born in
Kentville, she was a daughter of the late Russell
«Russ» and Annie (Carey) Harvie. Gloria worked
alongside her husband, Ken as his bookkeeper and helped where
necessary. She was a former member of Bethany Memorial Baptist Church
and a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church. She was
a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend who was devoted to her
family. She will be missed by her husband, Kenneth
«Ken»; children, Valerie Wood (Bartley), Edmonton;
Bruce Wood (Marlene), Coldbrook and Ronnie Wood (Lisa), Coldbrook;
sister, Joan Lalone, Ontario; grandchildren, Bradley, Natasha,
Christopher and Jamie; three great grandchildren; extended family and
many friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a
brother, Russell Jr. Cremation has taken place and in keeping with
Gloria’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral
service. Donations in memory may be made to the Kings Shelter of the
SPCA or the Salvation Army – Kentville Citadel. Arrangements
have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and Cremation
Services, Kentville.
