Gavril (Gavy) Richard Pennell
September 30, 1956 – March 26, 2022
It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness we announce the sudden passing of Gavril (Gavy) Richard Pennell of Trepassey, NL. Gavy is predeceased by his father Louis (1995) and his brother Kenneth (2015).
He leaves behind his beloved son Bradley (Kendall Penney), who was his everything. His mother Marie, who he loved, cherished and supported for over the past 11 years. His brothers, Brian (Virginia), Louis (Viola), Jerome, Hughie (Jean), Greg (Michelle) and Glenn (Natasha); his sister Cathy Ann (Sam Wilson) and his sister-in-law Tammy and special friend Jacki Pennell. His nieces, Jessica Kane (Tommy, Alexis & Olivia), Rebecca Walsh (Jeff & Nora), Samantha Wilson (Jordan Koers), Courtney Wilson, Julia Pennell (Matt Scott), Jenna Pennell (Michael Willette), Lauren Pennell, Brooke Pennell and Keira Pennell; his nephews Riley Pennell and Brayden Pennell. Gavy also leaves behind Bradley’s mom Theresa Shea and Brad’s brothers Leroy & Shawn, as well as a large circle of family and friends.
Gavy was a loving father, son and brother who was sadly taken from us way too soon. Life will never be the same without him. Gavy will always be missed, but never forgotten.
We would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the Nurses, Doctors and Staff of 5 East, St. Clare’s, for your compassion and care over the last few days.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation to be held at Fahey’s Funeral Home, Trepassey on Saturday, April 2, 2022 from 11 am to 9 pm. Mass of Christian burial on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Holy Redeemer Church Trepassey at 11:30am. Interment to follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Trepassey.
