G. Ryan’s Obituary
Boyd, G. Ryan – 36, South Pugwash, passed away August 16, 2022, at the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash, with his family by his side. Born in Truro he was a son of Gary and Tammy (Brown) Boyd, South Pugwash. Ryan was always interested in and worked most of his life doing autobody repair. He also worked as a drywaller and had been employed at Pugwash Windsor Salt Mine. Ryan was a member of the Carpenters Union, Local 1392. Ryan was a loving son, husband, father and family man. Besides his parents he is survived by his wife, Kourtney Mae (Rushton) Boyd; children, Zadie, Addison, Tucker, Gary “J.J.”; brother, Kevin (Crystal), Pugwash Jct., and their children, Wyatt and Weslyn; sister, Jennifer (Craig), South Pugwash, and her daughter, Arizona; maternal grandmother, Roma Brown, Dartmouth; many cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his chosen maternal grandfather, Rolley D’Eon; paternal grandparents, Leonard and Kathy Boyd. There will be no public services. The family would like to especially thank, Dr. Peter Blaikie, the staff of the North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Rev. Peter Anthony, Martha Ferguson, Korren Patriquin and all of the VON staff for their exceptional kindness and support during Ryan’s illness. Donations in memory may be made to the family in support of Ryan and Kourtney’s children or any charity of your choice.
