Eric Joseph Fournier, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 26, 2022, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 80.
Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Wilfred and Alice (Perry) Fournier. He worked as a truck driver, millworker, and retired as a custodian in Toronto, ON where he lived for several years.
Eric is survived by his four children Lisa Landry (Kevin) of Miramichi, Darren Fournier (Tracy) of Miramichi, Alfred Fournier (Bonnie) of Blackville, and Gerald Fournier of White Rapids; one sister Laurena Kenny of Losier Hall; one brother Joseph Fournier (May) of Miramichi; seven grandchildren Cody Landry (Robyn), Zachary Fournier (Michelle), Brilynn Fournier, Riley Landry, Hannah Fournier, MacKenzie Fournier, and Keegan Fournier; great granddaughter Stevie; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his common law partner Carol Parks; brothers Junior and Ernie; and sisters Rita, Theresa, Patsy, and Ardele.
At his request, there will be no visitation or funeral service.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one’s choice.
