Ella Gladys Parkin, 99 of
Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on March 20,
2022, following a brief illness. Born in Janeville, NB, she was the
daughter of the late Irving and Gladys (Knowles)
Scott.
Ella was a loving wife, mother,
grandmother, sister and a friend to all.
Ella is survived by daughters
Millis and Kathy; granddaughters Rachel McLean (Jason), Lisa Hachey
(Eric Richardson), Erica MacDonald (Craig); great grandchildren
Courtney and Connor (McLean), William and Ella (MacDonald), Adam,
Ethan and Emma (Richardson) as well as nieces, nephews, and extended
family.
In addition to her parents,
Ella was predeceased by her husband, John (June 2011); brother, Eddie
Scott (late Patsy) and sisters, Lois Knowles (late Reginald) and
Barbara Hinton (late Douglas).
Sincere appreciation, firstly,
to Dr. Julie Carrier for her exceptional insight and care, to the 4
nurses and staff at McNair Manor, where Ella resided since
August 2018, who truly put ‘special’
into the term special care, each and every day, and to the doctors and
nurses at Moncton Hospital.
Special thanks also for
unwavering love and support provided by Craig and Margaret Dickson,
and the Scotts (Evan, Juanita, Keith, Carol, Gary and
Sandra).
A graveside service to
celebrate Ella’s life will be held at Fair Haven Memorial
Gardens at a later date.
In Ella’s memory,
