Edward Leendert Zonneveld
Born May 21, 1964 in Hamilton, he passed away in the West Lincoln Memorial Hospital with family at his side on September 2, 2022. Survived by parents Joan & Leen Zonneveld, and siblings Richard (Cheryl), Michelle (Jamie) and Judy (Rob). Ed was the proud father to his children Blake (Jenn), Andrea, Cody (Candice), Kyle (Alexa), and grandchildren Charlotte, Kyle, Jesse, Avery, Vincent, and Rhys. Ed now rejoins his beloved wife Sheryl. Life, nor death could keep these two apart. Ed and Sheryl were true soulmates, their love and commitment to each other was unparalleled. Rest easy, rest together. May both your hearts find comfort in rejoining each other.
Lover of family, good music, good friends and a good time, Ed was always up to spend time with those he loved. Camping, fishing and snowmobiling were some of his favourite pastimes. Ed thrived being around others and was always the centre of any social gathering. He loved story-telling around the camp fire, sharing memories and tales of his many wild escapades. Ed lived and loved hard. Anything he committed himself to he did with his whole heart, especially when it came down to caring for his late wife. Losing Sheryl was the hardest thing for him. May we learn about what love looks like when we look back at Ed’s life and the way he loved.
Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10th, 2022 from 11am until 1pm at TALLMAN FUNERAL HOME- VINELAND CHAPEL, 3277 King St. Vineland with a funeral following at 1pm. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations can be made to: Huntington’s Society of Canada.
