Edward Alexander Towner
March 22, 1936 – May 12, 2022
With heavy hearts the family of Edward Alexander Towner, announces his passing on May 12, 2022. Ted died peacefully at Ontario Shores, after a long and courageous battle with Alzheimer’s.
Edward was born in Toronto, on March 22, 1936, and lived in Durham Region from 1963 until his passing. Ted was a born again Christian, and will be reunited with the Lord and late loving wife of 64 years Patricia (Grainger.)
Ted retired from the GM Truck Plant in 1996, he enjoyed puttering around the house, woodworking, and a self taught pianist who loved to play Gospel and Christmas music on his piano.
He greatly enjoyed his final years with his three great granddaughters playing with them and chasing them around the house, playing hide and seek.
He will be greatly missed by his loving daughter Kim (Leary) and her husband Clark, his two granddaughters Danielle Gooch, Rebecca Gooch and her spouse Kyle Walker, plus his three great granddaughters Ryleigh, Annabella and Scarlett.
