Sometimes life’s greatest gifts are only ours to enjoy for a short time. Rather than get lost in the sorrow of losing him, we’ll remember how blessed we were to have shared life’s precious moments with him.
It breaks our hearts to announce that Edward “Ted” Muise passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, Sept 1, 2022 at the age of 58. Predeceased by his mother Loretta, his father Edward and his brother Donny.
Leaving to mourn his beloved partner of 21 years, Raymond White. Ted will be greatly missed by his stepchildren, Tyler (Lyndsay) & Samantha (Steve); his grandchildren, Hunter & Elliot; his sisters, Stasia Muise & Barb Gillam (Wade); brother-in-laws Rocco (Rose), Kirk (Rick), Lorne (Joan) & Paul (Denise}; nieces Trinda, April, and Chastity; nephews Keith and Travis; great nieces and nephews; and a large circle of friends.
Highly respected amongst his peers, Ted was a man of dignity, always staying true to his values. He took great pride in his indigenous roots and had great respect for everyone he met, especially his elders. He had a personality so big, his energy could be felt across the room. He fit in everywhere, conversed with everyone, and left you laughing and feeling as if you’d been friends for a lifetime.
That glint in his eye …. that mischievous grin … the way he beat you at darts or pool … the way he outdanced you at a wedding … the way he lit up with pride and joy for his stepchildren, nieces, nephews and grandchildren … those memories (and his love of life) will never be forgotten.
With a deep care for all people, and the strongest of work ethics, Ted spent his life striving to help others. From his nursing career in Bay St. George, to his time serving as Chief of St. George’s Mi’k Maq community, to his entrepreneurial journey in Torbay establishing People Empowerment Solutions Corp. and then co-founding Think Outside the Box, to his most recent work with the Long Lac First Nations … he worked tirelessly to make a difference and give back to his communities.
Topping off his list of achievements, Ted accomplished a life-long dream of completing his MBA through the Australian Institute of Business and was excited to continue in corporate world, having just landed his dream job.
Throughout all of his endeavours, family and relationships remained of utmost importance to Ted. Even when separated by the miles, he lovingly connected with his partner Ray frequently .. sharing every meal together via Facetime, and nightly chats … he remained present even from a distance. Side by side for 21 years … right up to that last moment … it will be much too quiet now without him.
As per Ted’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.
Ted still has some travelling to do!
A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will be annouced at a later date and we look forward to remembering with you then.
