Edward Allan Frederick Brick age 75, of RR# 5 Stratford, passed away suddenly at his residence on August 31, 2022. Ted was born in London, Ontario May 2, 1947 to Wilfred and Isabelle (Klue) Brick.
Ted has 4 sisters who he loved dearly. D’Arcy (Kenney) – deceased, Penny (Mike) Bollert, Wendy Brick and Linda (Jim) Riordan.
Ted married the love of his life Janice (Potter) on July 26, 1969. They were happily married for over 53 years and had the honour of celebrating their 50th anniversary with family and friends in 2019. Ted and Janice have 2 children, daughter Tausha (Darrell) of Mitchell and John of Stratford. The sparkle in his eye, his granddaughter Sadie Isabelle was born May 4, 2006. Brother-in-law of Gary (Sandy) Potter, Don (Joan) Potter, Dennis Potter (Jane – deceased) and Rob Potter – deceased. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Ted worked at St. Marys Cement Plant for 35 years until his retirement. He also owned and operated Wildwood Fur Farm. He loved the complexity of the fur industry and was a proud member of it. Ted loved being outdoors, hunting, camping, fishing and using his BBQ and smoker. Above everything he loved spending time with his family. It didn’t matter where, as long as people were enjoying themselves. There was always good music playing and if there was dancing, even better.
Visitation for family and friends will be held at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, September 5, from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Stratford Perth Humane Society or the House of Blessing through the funeral home. 519.271.7411 www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
