Obituary of Edith Katherine Darrell
It is with great sadness that the family of Edith Katherine Darrell announces her passing, which occurred on December 24, 2022, at Kiwanis Nursing Home. Born in Newcastle, NB, on December 22, 1942, she was a daughter of the Late Charles and Janet (Wilmot) Galley.
Edith is survived by her husband, Carl Darrell, of Sus; her sons: Stephen Crawford (Dawn) of Cambridge, ON and Mark Crawford of Sus, NB; her sister, Sharon Lanigan (Bob) of Belleville, ON; her grandson, Alex Crawford (Kaitlin) and their sons, Kayden, Kian, and Kaleb; her granddaughter, Katie Hammer (Kyle) and their son, Silas; and her stepchildren: Tanya Melvin, Carl R. Darrell, and Kristi Brown; Edith is also survived by her nieces.
Along with her parents, Edith was predeceased by her daughter, Ann Marie and her sister, Jane Huddling.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB (506-433-1176) from where a visitation will take place on Monday, January 2 from 11am-1pm, followed by a celebration of Edith’s life at 1pm from the Wallace Community Chapel.
