It is with deep sadness we announce the
passing of Edith Rachel Knockwood, age
82, of Fort Folly. Edith passed away on Tuesday, August 23,
2022 at the Sackville Memorial Hospital with family by her
side.
Born in Five Islands, NS, she was a
daughter of the late Victor and Francis (Eagles)

After marrying her husband George in
Bass River, NS, they moved to Connecticut in 1963 to work and raise
their family. She was always in for a good game of Bingo,
and drives along the cape. She loved her clams from Granny’s
in Five Islands. She enjoyed relaxing at home, while having
a good French Vanilla from Tim’s, playing her scratch tickets, while
watching the Blue Jays, or a good episode of NCIS on TV. She
loved her grand-kids and it showed in the many knitted mittens,
blankets, and tree ornaments she gave them. She enjoyed
traveling to the States to see family, time in the garden, feeding the
squirrels and telling stories. She was very proud to have
her own personal hairdresser, her granddaughter, and her Perm In A
Box.
She will be dearly missed by sons John
(Mary), New Britain, Conn, Michael (Brenda), Fort Folly; daughters
Theresa (Paul) Lowe, Springhill, NS and Chief Rebecca Knockwood, Fort
