Passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side on September 17, 2022 at the age of 65.
Loving husband to Diane (nee Ouellette), with whom he celebrated 43 years of marriage. Loving father to Jennifer Galea (Justin), Linda Tanner (Brendan Donnelly), Laura Jackson (Derrick Redmond). Cherished grandpa to Zachary, Hailey and Kasen. Predeceased by his parents Ron and Georgine (Jo) Jackson. Doug is survived by his step-mother Lorette Jackson. Dear brother to John (Sandy) Jackson and the late Jim Jackson, (survived by his wife Jo-Anne). Doug will be missed by his step-siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Dear son-in-law to Annette and the late Paul Ouellette. Doug was a loving brother-in-law to Ivan (Chris) Ouellette and Norman Ouellette.
Doug was a long time member of UA Local 552 (527) having worked for Lekter Industrial Services/Hiram Walkers for many years. He loved his vacations with family and friends. He enjoyed playing euchure, golfing, an avid fan of the Windsor Spitfires and playing with his grandchildren. Doug will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Doug’s family would like to send a very special thank you to the many Doctors and Nurses on the 4 North floor and ICU at Met Campus. Your kindness and compassion will always be remembered. If you so desire, memorial donations to the Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family. Cremation has taken place.
