Doris Mabel Darling (nee Hardy)
September 13, 1922 – July 24, 2022
With very heavy hearts our beloved kind, strong, gentle mother that had a heart of gold and a smile that would melt anyone’s heart passed away at Trenton Memorial Hospital on Sunday July 24th, 2022, seven weeks and one day before her 100th birthday. Beloved wife to the late John Darling (1995). Doris was the eldest child of five born to Garnet & Betsy Hardy (nee Dusenbury). Predeceased by her siblings Jack, Helen, Fred and Joy. Dear mother to Fred (Carol), David (late Fran) and Ann. Grandmother to Mike, Steven, Tammy (Dan), late Tina (Darren) and Terry. Great Grandmother to Alex (Jessica), Earl (Laura), Rueben (Sarah), Molly (Kayleb), Morgan (Candace), Mitchell, Mackenzie and Machaila. Great Great Grandmother to Camden, Davin, Hudson, Myra, Mikel, Archie, Ryker and Lenna. Much loved Aunt to Vicki (John), Suzanne (Chris), Douglas (Cheryl), Dan (Mary) and Van (Debbie). Special mention of Cousins Bob & Amber Darling and the Hardy Girl Cousins who brought so much fun, joy and happiness to our Mother’s life. Visitation will be held at Weaver – Warkworth on Saturday July 30th, 2022 from 12 – 1pm, followed by a funeral service at 1pm. Interment Cramahe Hill Cemetery.
