Obituary
It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Doreen Eliza Marie (LeBuffe) LeBlanc, which occurred Shannex-Embassy Hall on Friday, July 29th, 2022. Born 1935, in Saint John, she is the daughter of the late Richard Roland William and Mary Mattie (Perreault) LeBuffe. Doreen worked at the Saint John General and Regional Hospital for 34 years as a Porter in the x-ray department. In her earlier years, she enjoyed knitting, swimming and going for walks with her sister. She loved watching news channels and she especially loved her tablet, playing games and scrolling through Facebook.
Doreen is survived by her daughter Patricia Ann Chiasson of Quispamsis; sons Royden “Roy” LeBlanc (Ann) of Grand Bay-Westfield, Allan LeBlanc (Linda) of Saint John; 5 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. Along with her parents, Doreen was predeceased by her siblings, Albert, John, Elsa, Arthur, Bernice and Shirley Ann.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). A Memorial Service will take place in the Fundy Funeral Home chapel on Wednesday, August 3rd at 11 a.m. followed by an interment at Fernhill Cemetery. Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to The Alzheimer’s and Dementia Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
