It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden
passing of Diane Mcfarlane, 60, of Moncton, on Monday December 12,
2022. Born and raised in Ontario, Diane was the daughter of the late
Charlie and Winifred Jones.
Diane was a loving wife of 38 years to her beloved partner
Clarence Cormier, who together raised three beautiful children: Tanya
Thompson (Wayne), James Mcfarlane, and Vernon Mcfarlane; along with
her children, Diane will be deeply missed by her siblings: Charles
Mcfarlane, Susan Jones, Joanne Cripps, and Martina Mcfarlane; her
beloved grandchildren: Sarah, Sebastian, Namoi, and Brooklyn. She will
also be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Diane was a stay at home mom when her children were young and
she enjoyed cooking for them and knitting. She also had a love for
playing solitaire and was rather computer savvy. Diane had a heart of
gold and would help or feed anyone she thought may be struggling. She
always had a listening ear and would give the best advice when needed.
She also worked hard at keeping Dad out of trouble. For a lot of
years, she will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral and
Cremation Centre, 88 Church Street, Moncton (858-1900) where the
funeral service will be celebrated on Tuesday December 20 at 4 pm.
Visiting hours are Tuesday from 3 pm until time of funeral. Interment
will be at Our Lady of Calvary cemetery in Dieppe. In memory of Diane,
a contribution to a charity of the donor’s choice would be
appreciated.
