At the Chatham Kent Health Alliance on Saturday August 13th, 2022, Mr. Delbert Chinnick of Dover Township in his 87th year. Cherished son of the late Pat and Leola (White) Chinnick. Beloved husband of the late Marg Chinnick. Loving father of Gordon (Socorro) of Norfolk County, Don (Shelley) of Smithers, British Columbia, Pat Chinnick of Dover Township, Sarah (Brad) Morrison of Strathroy, and John (Juli) of Conestogo. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren Gabriel Chinnick (Lindsay), Veronica (Ryan) Hiemstra, Lexi Morrison (Brad), Wesley Morrison, and Monica Morrison (Patrick), Colin Chinnick (Linda), Jessica Chinnick (Dane) and Cam Chinnick and Melissa, Rachel and Nathan Chinnick. Amazing Great Grandpa of Waylon and Holley Chinnick. Dear brother of Jane Jenner. Predeceased by his special friend Eva Ingram, sister Dorothy (Harry) Blackburn, and brother Bev (Irene) Chinnick, brother–in-laws Bob Jenner, Bruce (Faye) Ramsey and sister-in-law Pauline (Walt) Prett. Del will be missed by his extended family and friends in Alberta and the Paling Family. Family and friends are invited to the Alexander & Houle Funeral Home, 245 Wellington St. West, Chatham, 519-352-2710, on Friday August 19th with visiting from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Saturday August 20th from 12 to 2 pm. The memorial service will follow on Saturday August 20th at 2 pm in the chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Mike Maroney of First Presbyterian Church officiating. The funeral service will be live streamed on the funeral home website. Cremation will take place and a private interment in McVicar Cemetery will follow the service.
