Obituary of David Arthur Jackson
JACKSON, David Arthur
July 1, 1948 – November 28, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Jackson, at his home in Kingston, at the age of 74.
David was predeceased by his loving wives Julia followed by Norma. He will be lovingly remembered by his children Melinda Beneteau (Chris) and Jeff Jackson (Carla), his many grandchildren and his brother Leonard Jackson (Brenda). He will be sadly missed by Jim and Mike and their families as well as his faithful companion, Dexter. A heartfelt thank you is extended to David’s neighbours of the Emerald Street Community, for their friendship and help that they have given to him and his family.
David was a proud Enforcement Officer with the Ministry of Transportation for 27 years, retiring in 2001. Throughout his life he was an avid golfer, enjoyed curling and spending time with his family and friends.
In keeping with David’s wishes, cremation will be immediate. A Celebration of his Life will be held on Monday, December 5, 2022, from 1:30 – 4:00 pm in the Celebration Centre of the James Reid Funeral Home (1900 John Counter Blvd., Kingston) entering from the rear parking lot doors. For those who wish donations in David’s memory may be made to the Kingston Humane Society.
