Obituary
It is with profound sadness and deep love the family of David Gee announces his sudden passing on Thursday, March 31 in Quispamsis, New Brunswick.
David was born in Ottawa and grew up in Manotick, but also spent time in Bermuda, the United States and locations across Canada as part of his father’s naval postings.
Although he primarily worked as a service technician, in his heart ‘Davey’ was a farmer and woodsman. Quiet days in the winter woods and summers in a hay field on the Duffy farm he loved are where he felt most at peace.
He loved the Rolling Stones, baseball and the New York Yankees, but above all his heart was full with love and pride for his children.
David knew someone everywhere he went and an outing in his presence was always one met with a ‘G’day’ or a ‘how are you now?’ from a variety of friends, colleagues acquaintances and characters with whom he always met with kindness.
David is predeceased by his parents, Clifford and Dorothy Gee and his brother, Brian Gee. Cherished by his children Tasha (Jeff) Taylor, Matthew (Marianne) of Ottawa, ON, Shawna (Jay) of Georgetown, ON and Michael (Anna) Gee also of Ottawa. Loved by his granddaughter Brandi and grandsons Jordan, Zachary, Andrew and James.
Fondly remembered by Carla Gee of Saint John, New Brunswick and Nancy Beckwith of Ottawa, Ontario. David is also missed by his oldest friend, Jimmy Stinson, who was like a brother to David in his love and support. Also missed by long time friend, Bernie ‘BJ’ Mersereau, the king of rock and roll.

A celebration and memorial service to honour David will be held in June 2022, details to be announced.
