It is with great sadness and heavy hearts we announce the sudden passing of Conrad Lee Andre Lefthand on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at the age of 32 years. Conrad was born on March 9, 1990 in High River, Alberta. Conrad was raised with a strong knowledge of the Stoney-Nakoda traditions and culture. He is survived by his two daughters, Kaylee and Kylie. His mother Ethel Lefthand and father Emery Leo Daniels. Brothers: Wacey (Crystal) Lefthand, Leo (Larissa) Lefthand, Bill Lefthand, Robert Lefthand, Selwynn (Amanda)Lefthand, Dakota (Ann)Lefthand, Michael (Sara)Lefthand, Leland (Nicole) Lefthand, Otis Lefthand, Cam Wildman, Cole Wildman, Cayle Wildman. Sisters: Roxanne Lefthand, Latoya Lefthand, Stasha (Casey)Lefthand, Misty Lefthand, Clarissa Lefthand, special sister Tiny Lefthand, Kari Lefthand, Robbie (Tobias) Jacobs. Maternal aunts: Irene (Claude), Dionne, Debbie, Shirley, Tammy, Laura. Maternal uncles: Bob (Brenda), Tony, Joe, Darcy (Kathy). Maternal Grandpas: Rex (Janice), Larry (Lydia), Chester (Melvina), Keith (Jamie) Clifford B., Dale Holloway. Maternal Grandmas: Alvina, Nancy, Annie, Ina, Eleanor, Cheryl. Special nephew Waison Lefthand. Paternal uncles: Ken, Larry, Marvin Daniels, Anthony Bearspaw. Paternal aunts: Laverne and Laura Daniels. Paternal Grandpa Lloyd Bearspaw. Paternal Grandmas: Brenda, Charlene (Clarence). Conrad is also survived by numerous relatives from the Lefthand, Daniels, Soldier, Poucette, Bearspaw, Dixon, Holloway, Wesley, Twoyoungmen families. We apologize if we missed anyone. He’s also missed by his fellow ball players Jessie and Shannon.
Conrad was predeceased by his wife Mercedes Daniels, grandparents: Carl and Mina Lefthand, Ken and Beverly Soldier. Cousins, Dustin, Lonnie, Kuri, Tawny, Jamie Lefthand, Wade Bearspaw, Andrew (Bubba). Auntie Lena Daniels and uncles Robert and Jason Lefthand, Lambert Daniels. Great-grandparents Mark and Mary Lefthand.
Conrad attended school in Calgary and Chief Jacob Bearspaw Memorial School in Eden Valley. He loved playing baseball with the pirates and going to tournaments with his family and his ball family. He cherished his daughters and loved spending time with them. Conrad had a great sense of humour and had a smile for everyone he met. He came home a world series baseball champion with the Pirates from British Columbia.
A prayer service will be held at Snodgrass Funeral Chapel, 301 Macleod Trail, High River, on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. A wake will follow at the home of Ethel Lefthand, Eden Valley. A Funeral Service will be held at the Eden Valley Arena, Eden Valley, on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. Conrad will be laid to rest at Eden Valley Cemetery.
