Obituary
QUINLAN, Clayton Charles – 79, of Stoney Island, passed away peacefully with family at his side on December 21, 2022, at Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born September 15, 1943, at Stoney Island, he was the son of the late Raymond Quinlan and Mildred (Ross) Atwood and step-father, the late Laurie Atwood. Dad enjoyed fishing and lobstering with his son and doing carpentry work on the side. In his last few years, you would see him sitting at his computer playing deer games wondering where all his ‘deers’ were going! He also enjoyed company and yarning about lobstering and fishing but, boy, never mention the word “government” or you would have heard a few choice words for that! He leaves behind his loving wife of 58 years, Anne (Nickerson) Quinlan; four children, Loretta (Tony) Brophy, Landon (Georgia) Quinlan, Pauline (Jack) Brannen, Yvonne (Boss) Nickerson; and his beloved and lights of his life grandchildren, John, Dustin, Crystal, Desmond, Nicholas, Jessica, and Grayson; and 12 great-grandchildren. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, John, Ralph; and sister, Marilyn. He will be sadly and greatly missed by all. The family would like to take this time to give a special thanks to the VON and the Yarmouth Regional Hospital for their care. There will be a private family visitation, followed by a family graveside. Interment in Atlantic Cemetery, Stoney Island. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Canadian Lung Association or a charity of your choice.
