Charles
Edward « Charlie » McDougall – age 83 of Black River Lake, NS,
passed away on December 27, 2022, in the Valley Hospice, Kentville

Charlie
was born March 31, 1939 in Sydney, NS, one of twelve children to the
late John and Anne (Wall) MacDougall. After Charlie left school, he

Aldershot, he met his future wife, Doris Rogers. Together, they had
three beautiful children: Julia Ann (Jim) Lee, David (Helen) McDougall

the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals and Black Watch Regiment, he
retired as Corporal and settled in Kentville, working for ACA for over
18 years. He was also a life member of the Royal Canadian Legion
Kentville Branch No. 6. He lived for his family always putting
everyone else’s needs ahead of his own. Charlie was not
difficult to get along with his easy-going personality and kindness
towards others. He adored his seven grandchildren, Kelly Lee, Tammy

Austin Schofield, Hayden Schofield, Elaina Schofield, Madelyn
Schofield, Oakland Schofield and Duncan Schofield, who all knew him as
Little Grampy, affectionately named by his great-grandson,
Austin.
Charlie
loved to play darts and his scratchers. He always enjoyed his time
playing the VLTs and visiting the Casino with his grandson, Jon, who
he lovingly called Sidekick and with his niece, Cathy who he
affectionately called Diamond Lil.
