With great sadness, we announce the passing of Cecil Gill.
He was Cec, Dad, Pop, Papa to his beloved Mary (late), (married 66 years), Danny (Wanda), Ron, Karen (Stewart), Kelly, Erin (Greg), Meagan (Andrew), Robbie (Diane), Makenna, Emma, Harrison, Irena, Andrew, Alice & Aurora.
He spent most of his 95 years loving, amusing, educating, and entertaining his family, friends, coworkers, and recently the staff and other residents at Palisade Gardens. He loved his family, his 43 year employment at Canadian Pacific Railways, The Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Blue Jays, playing guitar, SINGING country music, Country rides in the car, lunches out, and Happy Hour.
He was a generous, funny, kind, gentle man that we all adored, and he will be missed.
Graveside service will take place at 1 p.m. on Wednesday Sept. 14, 2022 at St. Peter’s Cemetery, Ontario St. Cobourg. Refreshments to follow at open-air Lions Pavilion in Victoria Park, Cobourg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg.
