Obituary of Catherine « Cathy » Stewart
After a brief illness, Cathy passed away peacefully at Juravinski Hospital on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at the age of 68. Dearly loved mother of Paula (John) and Scott. Cherished daughter of Bella and the late Alphonse. Loved sister of the late Willard, Betty LeClair (David), Joseph (Sandra), Leonard (Mary Lou), Albert (Heather), the late Peter, the late Ernest. She will be greatly missed by her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and extended family. She will also be missed by her grand-fur-babies Rusty and Cody. Cathy enjoyed her time scrapbooking, cooking and baking, decorating, and her weekly visits with her coffee club friends. She also loved going to the casino, playing scratch tickets, listening to music, watching jeopardy, and adding to her extensive tin can collection. She will be remembered for her strong love of family and animals. Special thanks to the doctors and nurses at Juravinski Hospital ICU for all of your kind care. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 at 10 a.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel. Interment to follow at Mountview Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Arthritis Society Canada or the SPCA would be greatly appreciated.
