Benoit, Philip (1935 – 2022)
À Magog, le 11 mai 2022, à l’âge de 87 ans, est décédé Philip Benoit. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse des 64 dernières années, Huguette (née Gervais).
Père adoré de Lynne (Martin Comtois Blouin), Kelly (Spence Lavis), Philip jr (Cathy Osborne), Debbie (Patrick Lauzier) et Shawn. Un grand-papa aimant pour Charles, Christophe et Camille (Francis Luna Grenier) Benoit, Megan (Zach Harrison), Connor et Ethan Lavis, Jacob (Sammy Jo Langlois) et Alex (Roxane Beaudoin) Benoit, Juliette, Joseph et Théo Lauzier. Un arrière-grand-père pour Myia, Dakoda, Levi, Kate et Eve. Il laisse aussi dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousins, cousines et amis.
Philip était le fils de Emma et Fred Benoit. Il était un pilier pour chacun. Il était un père aimant, sage, présent et bienveillant. Il nous lègue son sens d’humour, son amour pour la nature, la chasse, la pêche et la cabane à sucre.
Bénévole de longue date à l’église Saint-Paul de Magog ainsi que 40 ans pour l’entretien du cimetière Silver Lake d’Eastman,
La famille vous accueillera le vendredi 27 mai 2022 de 10 h à 11 h 30 au Complexe funéraire Ledoux afin de recevoir vos témoignages de sympathie. Une cérémonie suivra à 11 h en la chapelle du complexe. La webdiffusion est disponible en direct ou en différé sur le site du complexe funéraire Ledoux.

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Philip Benoit, on Wednesday, May 11th, 2022 at the age of 87, in Magog. His loving wife of 64 years, Huguette Benoit (nee Gervais) was by his side.
Loving father of Lynne (Martin Comtois Blouin), Kelly (Spencer Lavis), Philip (Cathy Osborne), Debbie (Patrick Lauzier) and Shawn. Caring “Grand-papa” to Charles, Christophe, and Camille (Francis Luna Grenier) Benoit, Megan (Zach Harrison), Connor, and Ethan Lavis, Jacob (Sammy Jo Langlois) and Alex (Roxanne Beaudoin) Benoit, Juliette, Joseph and Theo Lauzier. His great-grand-children, Myia, Dakoda, Levi, Kate & Eve. Philip will also be missed by his many brothers and sisters, in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Philip was the son of Emma & Fred Benoit. He was a pillar of strength to his family and extended family. He was loving, wise, caring and always there to help where needed. Philip will be fondly remembered for his sense of humour, his love of nature, hunting, fishing and wood cutting and making maple syrup.
He enjoyed volunteering at St. Paul’s Church in Magog for church meals and for nearly 40 years took care of the Silver Lake Cemetery in Eastman.
The family will welcome your condolences on Friday, may 27, from 10 to 11:30 am and followed by a memorial service at 11:30 am at the Complexe funéraire Ledoux.
