It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barry at the Brockville General Hospital on August 24th. Beloved husband of Linda (nee Thompson) and dearly beloved father of Jill (Mike MacMillan) of Morrisburg, Lori (Mike Lane) of Brockville, and step-son Darren of Dundas. Cherished grandfather of Mikayla, Alyssa (Mason), Abby, Elizabeth and James.
Dear brother of Gail Hanna (Stu) of Cardinal, Sister-in-law Jean Westendorp (Raymond) of Brockville, Brothers-in-law Robert Thompson (Carol), Graham, and Mother-in-law Frances Thompson, all of Iroquois.
Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Barry was predeceased by his parents Fred and Marcella (Paquette), his step-father Russ Hanna, and wife Irene Witlib.
Funeral Arrangements
At Barry’s request there will be no visitation or funeral service. Donations to the Brockville General Hospital Palliative Care Unit would be greatly appreciated by the family. If you are making your donation online or by cheque directly to the charity, please include the following note with your gift “please notify the family.” Arrangements entrusted to the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery Cardinal, Ontario.
