Allan Nadler
IIn the early morning hours on September 10th, at the ripe old age of 102, Allan (Al) Nadler passed away peacefully. Al is survived by his devoted wife of over 58 years, Annie Nadler, and his children and children-in-law, Carla Mullin, Jeffrey and Susan Nadler and Stephen and Laurie Nadler. Al was the proud Papa of Mandy Frank, Amy Frank, Sean Mullin, Casey Mullin, Joshua Nadler, Maya Nadler, Emma Nadler and Madeline Nadler, and a loving great-grandfather. Al was predeceased by his first wife Sylvia and daughter Elane Nadler.
Al lived a full and honourable life. He fought in the Black Watch regiment during the Second World War, and survived the infamous Battle of Verrières Ridge in Normandy, and the ordeal of being a prisoner of war. Following the War, he started a blouse manufacturing business that he operated for many decades before taking his well-deserved retirement. Al will be deeply missed by his family, extended family and all those who knew and loved him. The family would like to thank the staff of the 5th floor South Unit of the St. Mary’s Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion. Special thanks to Brenda and Lucy at the CLSC Metro.
