DOOLING, Adele (April 10, 1922 – September 9, 2022)
Passed peacefully away, very much on her own terms, and in the presence of her loving family on Friday, September 9, 2022 at 100 years and 5 months of age. Predeceased by her loving husband, Peter; her parents: John and Anne Morrissey; her sister, Mary Cahill; and her brothers: Bill, Gerald, John and Walter. Leaving to mourn her sister, Gert Schropp (104 years old); her children: Elizabeth Callahan (special friends Brian and Margie Hanley), Peter (Margaret Ann) Dooling, and Kate (Greg) Lynch; 8 grandchildren: Liz Yachetti, Maria, John and Katie Callahan, Allison (Daniel) Miller and Michael (Nikita) Dooling and Scott (Elizabeth Penney) and Sarah (Steph) Browne; and 6 great-grandchildren: Gabe, Jude, and Zadie Callahan, Bailey and Kai Miller, and Felix Browne. Also special cousin Lillian Moakler, as well as a large circle of extended family and friends. Special thank you to the staff of St. Patrick’s Mercy Home and to Patsy Rice and the home care workers from Comfort Home Care. Also special thank you to Joanne Bennett who was always there when we needed her. Mom lived a very full life surrounded by her family and many close friends. She loved to entertain and loved making connections with people. She taught us, by her example, how to be happy in spite of adversity and that we always have it in our power to see the good in everyone.
Resting at Caul’s Funeral Home, 84 LeMarchant Road, on Sunday, September 11, from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Mass to take place at St. Pius X on Monday, September 12, 2022 at 10:30am, with cremation to follow. Inurnment will take place from Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Tuesday, September 13 at a time to be announced.
The family is kindly requesting masks be worn for visitation and the funeral service.
