Maurice passed away on March 12, 2022 at the age of 84 years old. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Helene, his four children, nine grandchildren and numerous family and friends.
Maurice was born in Saskatchewan, the ninth of ten children, to Andre and Irene Bussiere. His early years were spent between St. Front, Zenon Park and Vonda, Saskatchewan before moving to Edmonton, Alberta in 1967. They started their own backhoe construction business, Bussiere Enterprises Ltd, and he spent his working life operating equipment and doing work across Alberta.
His hobbies included fishing, golfing, woodworking and inventing. He loved a good riddle/trivia, playing cards, reading western novels and word searches. Attending his grandchildren’s many sporting events, going on their school field trips and spending time with them was one of his life’s greatest joys.
They travelled extensively throughout the years, visiting 14 countries and travelling in the motorhome from coast to coast and across the United States.
A celebration of life is being held on March 19, 2022, 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Presentation at 1:30 p.m. Woodvale Community League (located at the Millwoods Golf Course) 4540 – 50 street Edmonton, AB
