Obituary
Linda “Lin” Denise Lyle, age 54, loving mother of two, and adoring wife to her partner Rod Surman, passed away Tuesday March 1, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. Lin was born April 8, 1967 in Ajax, Ontario to Wally and Edna Kiers.
Lin had a big heart and truly loved life. She had the ability to build strong and meaningful relationships with whomever she met and was always willing to help a friend in need. Lin loved animals, and throughout her years adopted and helped find homes for many animals in need. She was an avid outdoors woman and enjoyed hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and exploring the wilderness with her partner, family and friends. She loved to bake for her family and could make almost anything from scratch. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends, as well as all the wonderful people she met and got to know over the years.
Lin joined her mom (Edna Kiers) in heaven and is survived by her spouse Rod Surman of Grande Cache, two sons, Mitch (Chantal) Clegg of Grande Cache and Chris (Nina) Clegg of Fredericton, two step sons, Cris (Alisha Brown) Surman of Sarnia and Eric Surman of Grande Cache, three grandchildren (Evan, Kaelynn, and Carter), her father, Wally Kiers of Peterbourgh, and two sisters, Cathy (Dale) Gray of Peterbourgh and Debbie (Mike) Mackey of Bowmanville.
