It is with profound sorrow and sadness that the family of Donna Louise Jamieson announce her passing on February 21, 2022 at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
Born in Bridgewater on November 19, 1958, Donna was the daughter of the late Joan Hiltz and Arthur Jamieson. She grew up in the Martin’s Point/Western Shore area, Lunenburg County, where her parents owned the Pirate’s Lure Beverage Room for many years. Donna loved returning to that area every summer for a treat of clams and chips at Island View Restaurant.
Donna worked her whole adult life in many retail establishments in the HRM area, most recently at Trinity Jewellers, Halifax. Her few days off would find her tending to her flower gardens which were her pride and joy. She also enjoyed spending time with her cousin and aunt at Mush a Mush Lake. It was her holiday place.
Fiercely independent and hard working, Donna never shied away from a difficult task. Her resilience and fortitude were tested many times throughout her short life.
Predeceased by her parents and brother, Dion, Donna is survived by her sister, Carla Jamieson (Mike Creaser), her beloved aunt Kathleen Joudrey (Antie Kaye), cousins Aileen Reid, Dachia Joudrey and their respective families, Beverly Mitchell, John Hiltz, Teresa Joudrey.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Dartmouth Funeral Home. A small gathering for family and friends will take place in the spring where her remains will be placed with her mother at Dartmouth Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to thank the HRM police service, emergency first aid responders and the staff at the Dartmouth General for taking good care of Donna during her final days.
