Obituary
On January 18, 2022, Ann passed away peacefully at Kootenai Hospital in Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, due to complications from a fall. She is survived by daughters Sharon, Tracy, and son Darrin, and sister Dianne Bendza; grandchildren Brett Kolasa; Jordan, Lauren, and Ryan Semeniuk, Randy and Holly Schwartzman, Cheyanne Duncan; many relatives, and several close friends.
Born on June 15, 1940, on the family farm in Thorsby, Alberta, she was the second youngest of five siblings born to Ignat and Annie Yasunski. For a short time when she was 18, Ann lived on her own and worked as a telephone operator. Shortly after, Ann married Nick Semeniuk in 1958. The pair made their first home in Leduc, Alberta. The family relocated to Anchorage, Alaska in 1971 where they made their home for over thirty years before retiring to Arizona. Ann had a quick wit, loved to laugh, and loved to challenge family members to a game of cribbage. Gardening was Ann’s favorite pastime.
Ann was predeceased by her husband Nick, Baby Allen; parents Ignat and Annie Yasunski, her brother Algot, sisters Stella and Angela.

Service is to be held on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at 11 am, at the Ukrainian Catholic Church (Holy Eucharist) in Thorhild, Alberta. Interment to follow at Tudor Cemetery. Father Slavko Dumec officiating. Due to COVID-19, attendance at the funeral is limited to 50 people – masks are mandatory; interment is limited to 200 attendees. Luncheon to follow.
