Obituary
Suddenly on Sunday, December 25th, 2022. Paul Anthony Curley, of Owen Sound, at the age of 67 years.
Dearly loved husband and best friend of Shelley Curley (née MacDonald) for 45 years. Loving dad of Anthony Curley (Vanessa), of Annan and Angela Curley, of Owen Sound. Proud grandfather of Kamryn and Octavis VanWyck and his fur baby, Comet. Cherished son of Jean Curley (née Spencer) and the late Frank Curley (2020). Dear brother of Mary Curley (late Tom) and Rose Heathers (late Steve) both of Owen Sound, Michael and Lynn Curley of The Farm, Joy Farrow (late Paul Agnew) of Wasaga Beach, Kathy and Don Sim of Tara, Carolyn and Milt Towle of Stony Plain, Alberta, Donna and Tony Cottenie of Williamsford and brother-in-law of Sandy Blanck (Burk), of Ancaster and Brad MacDonald of Edmonton. Paul will be sadly missed by his aunts, uncles and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Paul was a long-time truck driver and enjoyed delivering flowers for the Awesome Blossom Flower Shop in Owen Sound which his wife Shelley owned and operated for 15 years. He was also well known for his years spent as a disc jockey, his love of cars and mechanics and his time as “Mr. Halloween” in the 80’s and 90’s. Many will remember Paul for his amazing guitar music and genuine emotion that he transferred through it.
A Visitation for Paul Curley will be held at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, 865 2nd Avenue West, Owen Sound on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 from 2:00 – 4:00 and 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held at the church on Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Ed Hoekstra officiating. A luncheon will immediately follow the service.
