Kenneth Keller
March 18, 1945 – December 24, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, dad and grampa on Saturday, December 24, 2022. Ken passed away at the age of 77 at the Health Sciences Centre with family by his side.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph and Leona; brothers Martin and Albert; sister Bernice Greenberg and special in-laws.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jane; daughter Audra (Wally) Boyko of Tyndall; son Derek (Nicole) and his precious granddaughters Sienna and Athena all of Winnipeg, as well as close family and friends. Ken is also survived by brother Richard (Betty); sisters Sylvia (Luc) and Mary Ann; numerous nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Ken was born and raised on the family farm in Camp Morton. He met and married Jane and they settled in Gimli, where they raised their family.
Over the years Ken was employed at Seagrams Distillery, R.M. of Gimli, Gimli Hotel and Diageo until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan which led him to coach minor hockey for many years. He spent many hours tinkering in his workshop and good friend Randy was always there to lend a helping hand.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass celebrating Ken’s life will be held at St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church on Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Stan Gacek officiating.
A private interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Sts. Cyril and Methodius Cemetery, C/O Box 92 Gimli, MB R0C 1B0.
