It is with heavy hearts we announce the loss of our beloved Helen who passed away at Village of Tansley Woods, on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, with her loving family by her side. Reunited with the love of her life, Joseph Petsche, whom she was married to for 44 wonderful years before his passing in 1993. Cherished mother to Ted (Darlene) Petsche of Pointe Claire, JoAnne (Michael) Oxley of Mississauga and Cheryl (Norman) Bellefontaine of Burlington. Proud grandmother to Jeremy (Kendra), Ryan (Dominique), Shawn (Cayley), Daniel (Kelly), Nicole and great-grandmother to Clara, Olivia, Felix and Remy. Loving sister to Mona Milne and predeceased by her siblings Joseph and Roderick Pritchard. Forever in the hearts of her many extended family and friends across Canada. Helen may be gone from this world however she lives on in the stories and the memories she has left with all those she touched during her lifetime. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday January 5, 2023 from 6-9pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle, 2265 Headon Rd, Burlington, on Friday January 6, 2023 at 11am. The family will receive guests for a reception following the mass, in the church hall. Interment to follow reception at Holy Sepulchre Catholic Cemetery. If desired, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke or the Canadian Cancer Society would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
