Obituary of Joan Wood
(nee Baker)
With heavy hearts, the family announces that Joan passed away peacefully at the Hawkesbury General Hospital with loved ones by her side on Tuesday, December 20, 2022; Joan Ann Wood of Ottawa; formerly of Arnprior was in her 85th year.
Beloved wife of the late David Wood. Much loved and devoted mother of Ken (Sharon Parisien) and Andrew (France Trépanier). Forever Nana to her 3 grandchildren: James, Victoria and Nicolas Wood and her 2 great-grandchildren: Alice and Peter Wood. Dear sister of Margaret Christy (Dick) and sister-in-law of Airlie Wood. Dear daughter of the late Bill and Jean (nee Gilmour) Baker. Also predeceased by her only brother, Bill Baker (Sherry). Also survived by and lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews.
Joan’s final care has been entrusted to the Pilon Family Funeral Home and Chapel Ltd., 50 John Street North, Arnprior where visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 28th from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
A Service to honour Joan will follow in the Pilon Family Chapel on Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock. A reception will follow.
