Baskette, Gerald Maxwell – Cow Bay, Nova Scotia
Age 88 died on Dec 17, peacefully at home with his wife Lorna (Hatfield) and family by his side.
He is predeceased by son’s Darrell and Billy (Nancy). He is survived by son Darren (Sandy), daughters Karen (Blair) and Dawn (Thomas). He was grandpa to 9 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
He had many jobs in his life, working on trains and helicopters. He was a clearance diver in the Navy for 25 years as well as a diving supervisor on the oil rigs, drove an 18-wheeler delivering Christmas trees. He had his pilots license and flew ultralights. He also had his Captains papers doing boat charters.
He was a proud member of the Buffalo Club Eastern Lodge 8686.
We would like to thank the Palliative Care members and the VON for the wonderful care given to him.
A celebration of live will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Cow Bay Hall.
