ANNETTE LYNN TOLSMA
March 06,1967 – December 15, 2022
“I go to heaven. See Jesus,” Annette said in her last days.
Our precious Annette in her 56 th year, went home to be with Jesus on Thursday, December 15, 2022, while being
held close by her mom and sisters Joannie and Trish at Maitland Manor. Annette was a genuine soul and taught
everyone around her so many things about life. Annette was the pure definition of joy & love. You could always hear
her laughter ring in the room.
Annette was born into this world on March 6, 1967 and although she was born with many challenges, she overcame
them all. Everything she did, she did with purpose and her life made a difference and brought joy in all of us.
She loved life and all it had to give and appreciated even the simplest things – from the changing of seasons and the
colours that it brings, to travelling to Bayfield, Stratford, Santa’s Village and even all the way to Disney World. She
always looked forward to family picnics and loved to surround herself with her friends at Friendship group to making a
splash at swimming and aqua fitness classes. She loved to sing her heart out to “Jesus Loves Me” or “You Are my
Sunshine” wherever she went. And of course, we will always remember her for her love of Christmas, Mickey Mouse,
butterflies and her purple purses.
But her greatest gift of all was making everyone laugh.
While we will miss her presence here, we know that she is with Jesus, whole, healed and new. She leaves behind
precious family that long to see her again – her mom, Betty Tolsma, her sisters, Joannie VandenHeuvel & Trish Reed, and her in-laws, Gil & Paul. She is predeceased by her daddy, Gerben Tolsma. She is adored by her nieces & nephews: Gerben & Czerny, Grace & Mark, Aaron & Juli, Myra & Kyle, and Dana. She will be missed by her great nieces &;nephews: Malachi, Charlotte, Madelyn, Melody, Milo and Oliver.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Trinity Christian Reformed Church, 245 Mill Road, Goderich on
Wednesday, December 21st at 11am with Pastor Tim Keep officiating. A come & go social and light luncheon will be
held from 12–2 pm. In lieu of gifts, please send flowers and donations to the Friendship Group in Annette’s memory
via Trinity CRC. Cremation and interment of ashes at Maitland Cemetery will take place in Spring 2023.
