Obituary of Christopher Mansbridge
With profound gratitude for his life and love, the family of Christopher Mansbridge announces his passing into the realm of infinite love on December 7, 2022, surrounded by family. Born in Slough, England on September 7, 1937, the third of four children of Gilbert and Gwen (nee Edmonds) Mansbridge, Chris lived a life of humility, creativity, benevolent service and generous love. Chris is predeceased by his brother, John Mansbridge; sister-in-law Joan Mansbridge; brother-in-law John Cawley; granddaughter Alexandria Mansbridge; and grandson William Mansbridge-Goldie.
Chris leaves to mourn his loss, daughters, Krista Mansbridge, Kaylee Mansbridge (Scott Goldie), Megan Mansbridge (Joël Fafard) and Joanna Mansbridge; their mother, Mary Ellen Hengen; grandchildren, Rose, Maggie, Zachary, Fynn and Theo; brother Francis Mansbridge (Miow); sister Anne Cawley; and several nieces and nephews in British Columbia and Australia. He also leaves to mourn an extended family of Hounds from Notre Dame in Wilcox where he raised his family.
Despite his credentials which included a doctorate in philosophy and numerous years as a professor and teacher, it was his humility, kindness, generosity and wisdom that defined him. His pride in his daughters was always evident, and this pride extended to his grandchildren whose passions he supported in every way.
The family wishes to extend their utmost appreciation to all the angels, past and present, at the Lumsden District Heritage Home and Parkside Extendicare for the great care, love and compassion given to dad. You were his family as well. He loved you all!
A Funeral Service will take place at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lumsden District Heritage Home, 10 Aspen Bay, Lumsden, SK S0G 3C0.
