ROBERT LORNE WHITE
(November 25, 1954 – December 7, 2022)
Robert Lorne White “Whitey” passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on December 7th, 2022. Beloved son of the late Lorne and Dorothy (nee Cathcart). Robert was a loving partner & best friend to Barb (Andrews) and devoted father to Darren, Tanya (Logan) and Arika (Ryan). Step father to Nathan Andrews (Kate), Lauren Hurley (Chad) and the best “papa” to Hudson and Emerson Hurley. Rob is remembered as a loving nephew, cousin, uncle and great friend to many.
As the Owner/Operator of Whitetrim Farms Ltd., Robert farmed in his hometown of Port Hope. He started at a very young age alongside his dad and continued until his retirement on Saturday, November 26th, 2022.
Whitey’s last wishes were to enjoy his 68th birthday with his family and attend his retirement party with a tractor parade in his honour. His wishes were fulfilled and we thank all those who contributed, participated, and attended. In true fashion he attended his own “Celebration of Life”.
He wanted people to remember him as the “character” he was, therefore no formal services will be held. Rob’s legacy is to support young farmers in the community and a donation will be selected to match his wishes.
