Born in Saskatoon, William lived much of his life in Vancouver, obtaining a BA in English from UBC, although he lived in Phoenix, AZ and Seattle, WA, as well. In Seattle, he published a newspaper, LISTENIN’, with extensive radio listings, as well as writing scripts for THE BEST OF BRITAIN and THE BRITISH HOUR and doing some on-air work.
William loved family, friends, e-friends and writing. His fiction and nonfiction were published in the UK and America as well as Canada.
Predeceased by all five sisters, he is survived by Kay Lukesand Carolyn Bourcier, three brothers-in-law, several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews and even into the next generation. William was unfailingly optimistic, upbeat and witty. He is sadly missed by all who loved him.
We will celebrate his life next summer.
You can remember William by donating to the Salvation Army and by reading his more than ten years of blogs at wdfyfe.net. Furthermore, his four books—three fiction and one humor—are all available from Amazon. (HINT: Start with Songs of Sylvia. 😉
