It is with deep sadness that the family wishes to share the sudden passing of Michael Venskus, on December 6th, 2022, in his 75th year. Loving husband to Jodi, loving father to Michael (Christine), Erik and Andrew, Chris Sherwin (Julie), Sara Skipper (Rob) and loving Poppa to Emma, Sofia, Cole, Kylee and Quinn. Brother to Karen Enos (Jim) and the late Ritchie Venskus. Pre-deceased by his loving parents, Michael and Katharine Venskus. Michael will be missed by many nieces and nephews.
Michael spent the last 20 years in retirement where he enjoyed his time at his cottage in Fishers Landing, NY, USA and in Ontario, Canada. An avid sports fan, Michael spent much of his time cheering for his favourite sports teams, the Boston Red Sox, Boston Bruins, Boston Celtics and the New England Patriots. He particularly took great satisfaction every time his beloved Red Sox beat the Yankees.
A private celebration of life will be held in the spring.
Michael served in the United States Airforce and would appreciate any donations in his memory to go towards The Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org) or Soldier On (www.soldieron.ca).
