Janette is predeceased by: her husband, Lawrence; parents, Jack and Della Weaver; brother, Paul; and sister, Judy.
Janette worked at the CKSA Broadcast Center (and later Newcap Broadcasting) for over 50 years, and many will remember her smiling face and warm welcome. She loved her job, and was passionate about the Gift of Christmas program. Every Christmas you’d find her at her desk wrapping hundreds of presents for children in need. Always outgoing, with a story or joke to tell, she connected easily with people and had a wide circle of friends. She enjoyed daily coffee dates with friends in Lashburn and frequent get together’s with friends she had worked with over the years at the station.
Janette will be lovingly remembered and missed by her family and friends.
Thank you to all of the doctors and nurses at the Lloydminster Hospital for your incredible care and compassion in Janette’s final days. We appreciate you all.
A Celebration of Life and Internment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Janette’s memory can be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lloydminster Region Health Foundation – Dialysis Unit or B.C. Children’s Hospital
Nos plus sincères sympathies à la famille et aux amis de Janette
