The death of Margaret “Marg” Ann (Hovey) Shaddick wife of the late Frederick Shaddick of Losier Hall and formerly of Newcastle, NB occurred on Thursday, November 16, 2022, at her residence at the age of 95. Born in Blissfield, NB, she was the daughter of the late Gordon and Mary (Weaver) Hovey. Marg was a retired Receptionist from the Miramichi Medical Clinic. She was a member of St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, St. Andrew’s Guild and the Newcastle Senior Citizens Friendship Club.
Marg is survived by son: Wayne of Miramichi, NB; daughter: Lynn Allison (Brian) of Whitney, NB; grandchildren: Tara Allison, Jillian Coughlan (Jeff) and Sophie Shaddick-Good; great grandchildren: Jace and Ellie special caregiver: Ann MacTavish; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Marg is predeceased by sisters: Grace McLean and Jennie Russell and brothers: Robert, Wilson “Mug” and Mac Hovey.
A public funeral service will be held from the Sterling Bell Memorial Chapel on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2 PM with Rev. Thomas Nisbett officiating. Burial will take place in the Miramichi Cemetery.
