It is with great sadness we announce the
passing of Yvon Joseph Doiron, age 87, of
Parrsboro, NS. Yvon passed away on Monday, November 7th, 2022 at South
Cumberland Community Care Centre in Parrsboro.
Born in Cap-Pele, NB, he was a son of
the late Adelard and Elizabeth Doiron.
Yvon was a proud veteran and member of
the Legion. He loved working at Atlantic Towing for many years and
took pride in his work at Home Hardware. He also enjoyed going for
rides on his bicycle.
Yvon will be dearly missed by his
children Janet (Arnold) Wood of Parrsboro, Rosie Doiron of Parrsboro
and Drew(Sidney-Lindsey) Doiron of Parrsboro; grandchildren Stevely
Wood, Bradly Wood, Jonathan Wood, Kevin Wood, Allie Moore, Max
Willigar, Nova Doiron and Nash Doiron; great-grandchildern Colin Wood,
Caden Wood, Ruby Wood and Jayce Moore; siblings Roger, Emilia,
Leontine, Alva, Philippe and Jean-Louis as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased
by his wife Dorothy; siblings Albert, Alfred, Theobald, Ulysse and his
twin sister Yvonne.
Arrangements are under the care and
direction of Jones Family Funeral Centre,
Amherst, NS, (902 667 8777) A public funeral service will be held on
Thursday, November 10th at 1pm at the St. George’s Anglican Church in
Parrsboro followed by burial in the St. George
Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Yvon may be made
to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
