Giuseppe Antonelli was born in Castelvetere in the Campania region of Southern
Italy. He died in hospital on Oct. 29, 2022, in Ajax, Ontario.
Cherished husband to Lucia, father to Carmela, Leo (Leigh) and Fab (Laurie) and grandfather to Isabel and Olivia.
Predeceased by father Leonardo and mother Carmela. Survived by sisters Maria and
Antonietta, and brother Antonio. Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
He came to Canada in 1964 and started his own masonry contracting business with
his brother. The company was responsible for the brickwork in hundreds of homes
across the Durham Region.
When he wasn’t working, Giuseppe enjoyed his beloved vegetable garden, playing
cards, winemaking, fishing and watching soccer and hockey. He also loved to escape
to Florida during the cold Canadian winters.
Thank you to the dedicated nurses at Lakeridge Health for their great care and
support.
Visitation Details: Family and friends may visit the Accettone Funeral Home, on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 from 6 – 9 pm and then on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 from 10:00 am til time of Service in the Chapel at 11:00 am
Donation Details: Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Giuseppe are asked to consider the
Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of their choice.
Interment Details: Entombment Resurrection Cemetery, Whitby
